Zürs

Zürs at 1,717m (5633ft) above sea level at the Flexenpass is an intimate Austrian village in the Arlberg region consisting of several high end hotels. The ski resort is part of the Arlberg ski region. Like the neighbouring town of Lech, which is about four km north of Zürs, it offers an exclusive Austrian ski holiday experience. Skiers who want to avoid the crazy extreme terrain of St Anton and don’t need the family friendliness of Lech, head to Zürs. The Zürs ski resort is part of the Arlberg region and is covered by the same lift ticket as St Anton. After the ski resorts of Zürs, Lech and Warth-Schröcken have been connected in 2013 by a newly built lift system, the area offers unbelievable 341 km (211,88m) of superb pistes including the areas of St. Anton, St. Christoph, Stuben and Klösterle as well. Start skiing the “White Ring” – a unique ski circuit in the alpine region. It connects Lech, Zürs, Zug and Oberlech with cable cars and slopes for more than 50 years. The White Ring is a 22km (17,4m) ski route that circles around these villages. The Race will take approximately one hour as besides the selective slopes around the Rüfikopf, the Omeshorn and the Kriegerhorn the usage of some lifts and cable cars is part of this historical race. The Zürs ski resort itself caters very well to beginners and intermediates, and the slopes for beginners are generally better than the ski terrain at Lech ski resort. There are about 20 high quality restaurants to be found in Zürs. Although Après Ski doesn’t offer the nightlife like you get in St. Anton it is still reasonably vibrant. Into the evening the “Zurserl Pleasure Lounge” is the place to be seen and for a dance.
